I’m Joseph Crisostomo, a software developer.
Creating a portfolio website during my 12th grade was my very first exposure to programming. I was oblivious though about how powerful programming is because I barely scratched the surface. I was only able to touch HTML, CSS, and a little bit of javascript. It’s funny because that became enough for me to choose computer science and to ditch civil engineering, which was then my top choice.
During my years in the University, I realized how powerful programming is. It feels like some kind of power was given to me. Those questions I had when I was a kid, like how do people create these websites and how computers work, now all made sense.
In the recent months, I was spending most of my time developing software. One of which is a web app named Manong Pabili, which we (I have one teammate) built for RedwoodJS Build Competition, where we placed 3rd! Before that, I built an apartment management system inspired by the apartment building where I currently stay. And now, I am building a management system for my parent’s small store. I draw inspirations from my experience, observations, and needs in my environment.
I just graduated college and currently spending my time reinforcing my knowledge and learning persistently while finding a job.
